TOROIDAL
The series of Toroidal transformers designed by us, thanks also to our team of expert technicians and sales representatives, lend themselves to maximum customization, from design to technical/electrical characteristics, offering different solutions for the same project. Compared to open frame series, toroidal transformers boast several advantages, including: improved efficiency and power, no load loss, reduced dimensions, and the same galvanic isolation between primary and secondary windings.
Through our "expertise-software" for managing new projects, we offer maximum assistance during the datasheet realization phase and ensure prompt communication of the relevant quotes and results.
Similar to Open Frame transformers, toroidal transformer series are available in various materials, ranging from different types of connectors (fast-on) to the wire type of the windings (Copper, Aluminum, CCA), and even the magnetic material used for the core construction.
All designs comply with international safety standards for electrical and electronic components as well as power transformers.
Production - Production Lines
Toroidal transformers represent a strength for us in terms of production volumes, quality, and the strategic importance of the product itself.
To ensure better quality and greater control over all processes, production has been divided into 2 plants:
The first plant is dedicated to the production of toroidal cores, starting from oriented grain silicon iron laminations to the formation of the final core. This core then undergoes a specific heat treatment to increase its magnetic permeability and improve its final characteristics. In the second plant, consisting of 16 fully manual "U" stations, the entire transformer assembly takes place, from windings to final quality control tests.
The procedures within each station occur according to the methods outlined in the production diagram (flow-chart). At the beginning of each new production run, operators at each station undergo a brief training session focusing on the specific characteristics of the new product to be manufactured.
Materials and Certifications
All our series of toroidal transformers, as well as the entire range of materials used for their manufacture, comply with international safety regulations for electronic components (EN61558-A; EN60950) and UL construction standards for low-voltage safety transformers (UL5085 Class 1-2). They also comply with European directives REAC and ROHS and with directive 2014/35/EU concerning the "CE" marking. Considering the nature and fully custom design of these transformers, we briefly summarize their main characteristics below: Below are the main characteristics of these custom-designed transformers:
- Primary voltage (input) from 110 to 240V AC;
- Single or dual secondary voltage (output) from 6V to 48V, other voltages available upon request.
- Power from 20VA up to 1KVA, higher powers available upon request.
All materials used in the production of these products are UL approved and available within the datasheet with their respective certification numbers. The UL materials used include: self-extinguishing materials, double-insulated copper wires with PVC sheaths (PVC grade 1-2 according to UL1672), windings made of various materials (Copper, Aluminum, CCA), including mounting kits.
Quality
Electrical and dimensional checks are performed on a sampling basis according to AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit) standards, and all detected parameters are recorded in specific modules (test reports) for rapid verification and traceability of the production batch. 100% of the products are tested at the end of production.
